How to install valves to ensure stable use of industrial chillers

Industrial chillers are indispensable cooling equipment in industrial production, providing cooling for high-power laser equipment and water-cooled spindle equipment. At the same time, high-precision industrial chillers can also provide cooling solutions for medical fields, biological research, and physical experiments. It is the study of refrigeration by analyzing the principle of steam compression refrigeration, which utilizes different liquid refrigerants to absorb heat during vaporization and release heat during steam condensation.

The failure rate of industrial chillers during operation is relatively low. Even if there is a fault, it is usually a room temperature ultra-high alarm, water flow ultra-high alarm, and other fault alarms, which are easy to resolve and will not affect the production of the factory due to the occurrence of faults. Pay attention to regular maintenance. The lifespan of the chiller can be between 5 and 10 years, and it can also reduce the cost of frequent replacement of refrigeration equipment.

Industrial chillers do not use any type of hazardous chemicals or substances in their cooling operation. This makes it a clean and safe device. The main liquid used is water that is safe for people and the environment. All of its operations are environmentally friendly and will not produce any harmful gases or substances that can damage the ecosystem.

In the refrigeration system, the main function of the valve is to control the flow and direction of the refrigerant. Due to its high frequency of daily use, more attention needs to be paid during installation to ensure its normal use without affecting the stability of the industrial chiller.

1. The valve should be installed in a place that is easy to disassemble and maintain. When installing various valves, attention must be paid to the flow direction of the refrigerant and should not be reversed.

2. When installing flanged valves, the flange plate and the flange of the valve must be padded with high-pressure asbestos board, and the thickness of the high-pressure asbestos board should be determined based on the depth of the flange groove on the valve.

3. When installing a shut-off valve, the working fluid should flow from the bottom of the valve to the upper part. When installing on a horizontal pipeline, the valve stem should be vertically upward or tilted at a certain angle, and the valve stem should not be facing downwards. If the valve position is difficult to access or high, for ease of operation, the valve stem can be installed horizontally.

4. When installing a check valve, ensure that the valve core can automatically open. For lift check valves, it should be ensured that the centerline of the valve core is perpendicular to the horizontal plane. For swing check valves, the rotation of the valve core plate should be ensured, and the valve core plate must be installed horizontally.

5. The safety valve should be directly installed on the shut-off valve at the equipment outlet, and the arrow on the valve body should be consistent with the flow direction of the working fluid.

6. The solenoid valve must be installed horizontally at the outlet of the equipment and must be installed in the position specified in the drawing. If the solenoid valve is installed in front of the throttle valve, a distance of at least 300mm should be maintained between the two.

7. The thermal expansion valve must also be installed horizontally, and attention should be paid to the inlet and outlet connections of the valve. Usually, there is a filter screen at the inlet end of the valve.
